Hat is a cross between a Banana Norn(breed slot 0) and a Pixie Norn(breed slot 1). He's fond of staring at random things for no apparent reason and he's quite a quiet fellow.

Genetics

Like his parents, Hat has no die of old age genes. In addition he has two mutations, including one in the brain.

Original gene:
101 Emb B Mut 'Heard creature speak' causes sig=16 GS neu=6(Creature has spoken) int-175,,, Sensed Even When Asleep => 16*Boredom-- + 16*Loneliness-- + 16*Crowdedness++ + 0*<NONE>

Mutated gene:
101 Emb B Mut 'Heard creature speak' causes sig=16 GS neu=6(Creature has spoken) int-175,,, Sensed Even When Asleep => 16*Boredom-- + 16*Loneliness-- + 16*Crowdedness++ + 0*Pain

In this mutation, the fourth slot for chemicals created by the stimulus, which is normally empty, has been filled by 0 pain. This doesn't actually affect Hat, but if it was passed on and the amount mutated it could potentially create a Norn who felt pain whenever another creatures speaks.

Original gene:
122 Emb  B Mut Lobe #=8 State Rule: Anded0 <end> <end> <end> <end> <end> <end> <end>, WTA= 0

Mutated gene:
122 Emb  B Mut Lobe #=8 State Rule: Anded0 <end> <end> <end> <end> <end> <end> <end>, WTA= 1

The mutation has switched on WTA (winner takes all) in this gene, which is for the concept lobe. I know that if WTA is on it means that only the neuron with the highest value will fire, but I don't know how this translates into any difference for Hat. Perhaps this has something to do with why he likes to sit around and stare at things?
